Units¶
Units are defined measurements used in the UNIT
columns in budget detail lines or in Fringes setup. Once a unit is defined you can quickly add it to any UNIT
field by starting to type it and pressing ENTER
to select the auto-completed suggestion.
Many time-based units have a unit equivalent that ties them back to HOURS
. This makes it easy for the system to calculate a value or a fringe based on the units involved.
For example, if your DAY
unit equals 12 HOURS
, then a Flat Rate Fringe of $1.00 per hour would become $12 per day if applied to any line item measured in DAYS
The Units feature also recognizes plural versions of the Unit and will display the appropriate word when 0 or more than one item are present.
